Parsons and Mead were both influential sociologists, but they had different approaches to understanding society. Parsons focused on the structural-functional perspective, which emphasized the ways in which social institutions and systems work together to maintain stability and order in society. Mead, on the other hand, was a symbolic interactionist, who focused on the ways in which individuals interact and create meaning through symbols and communication. While Parsons emphasized the importance of social structures and institutions, Mead focused on the role of individual agency and interaction in shaping society. **

The field theory of Lewin, the system theory of Luhmann, and Parsons' social action theory all share the commonality of focusing on the interrelatedness and interconnectedness of elements within a system. They all emphasize the importance of understanding the dynamic interactions and relationships between different components within a system. Additionally, they all recognize the significance of considering the broader context and environment in which the system operates, as well as the impact of external forces on the system. Finally, they all highlight the need to study and analyze the processes of change and adaptation within systems, whether at the individual, social, or organizational level. **

At airport security, passengers are required to place their carry-on luggage, personal items, and sometimes shoes in bins to be scanned by X-ray machines. Passengers must also walk through metal detectors or body scanners to ensure they are not carrying any prohibited items. Security personnel may conduct additional screenings if necessary, such as pat-downs or swab tests for explosive residue. Overall, the goal of airport security is to ensure the safety of passengers and prevent any potential threats from entering the aircraft. **

I have had several experiences with airport security while traveling. I have gone through the standard security screening process, including removing my shoes, belt, and electronics, and placing them in the bins for X-ray scanning. I have also been randomly selected for additional screening, which involved a pat-down and a more thorough inspection of my carry-on items. Overall, I have found airport security to be a necessary inconvenience in order to ensure the safety of all passengers. **

Extensions in airport security checks refer to additional screening procedures that are conducted on passengers or their belongings. These procedures are typically carried out when there are concerns about a passenger's identity, behavior, or the contents of their luggage. Extensions may involve more thorough physical searches, questioning, or the use of specialized equipment such as explosive trace detection swabs. The goal of extensions is to ensure the safety and security of all passengers and prevent any potential threats from entering the aircraft. **

During an airport security check, metal detectors and X-ray machines are commonly used to scan passengers and their belongings. If any metal objects are detected on a person or in their luggage, the metal detector will beep to alert the security personnel. Additionally, electronic devices such as cell phones, laptops, and tablets may also trigger a beeping sound if they are not removed from bags and placed in a separate bin for screening. **
